Rug Pull Hunter - Complete Game Guide
Version 3.13 | March 2026
Welcome to Rug Pull Hunter!
Rug Pull Hunter is an educational arcade game for practicing questions about crypto-safety signals. Navigate through space, respond to game-classified coins, and survive waves of enemy ships attacking from all directions. Coin classes, labels, scores, and reports are illustrative game outputs—not verified findings about real tokens or safety verdicts.
1. Game Overview
1.1 Objective
You control the SiCi character — a gold coin astronaut with a jetpack and laser gun — responding to game cues in space. Your mission is to:
- Destroy coins the game classifies as SCAM using your laser; this is an arcade class, not a real-token finding
- Avoid shooting coins the game classifies as LEGIT — a hit costs in-game points and resets the combo
- Survive each wave by eliminating enough SCAM-class coins before they escape
- Fend off enemy spaceships that attack from multiple directions
1.2 Your Character
The SiCi Hunter is a custom-designed astronaut character featuring:
- Transparent design that blends seamlessly with the outer space environment
- Laser gun that fires flaming red laser projectiles
- Golden glow drop-shadow effect for visibility against the dark space background
- Movement target: The player moves toward a mouse or touch target; the laser projectile itself travels upward
1.3 Educational Purpose
Where available, the game can present current third-party market-listing information supplied by DexScreener. This is listing context, not a complete on-chain analysis or a verified token finding. The game also uses hardcoded illustrative coin templates. Educational prompts can include a token name or ticker, pair age, price-change context, liquidity context, or whether a project name is present; none of these fields establishes a real-token verdict.
2. Controls
2.1 Keyboard Controls
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| W / ↑ | Move the player target up |
| A / ← | Move the player target left |
| S / ↓ | Move the player target down |
| D / → | Move the player target right |
| SPACE | ⚡ Shock Wave — destroys SCAM-class coins in a 220px radius (5-second cooldown) |
| Z / Ctrl | Fire the upward laser while held |
| M | Toggle Sound On/Off |
2.2 Mouse Controls
| Action | Function |
|---|---|
| Move Mouse | Move the player toward the cursor |
| Left Click / Hold | Fire Laser (hold for continuous fire) |
2.3 Control Tips
- Combine keyboard movement with cursor movement to position the player
- The player glides toward the current mouse or touch target
- Player laser projectiles travel upward from the blaster
- Hold the mouse button for rapid fire — no need to click repeatedly
- Save your Shock Wave for crowded moments; the 5-second recharge is shown in the HUD
3. Game Mechanics
3.1 Game Coin Classes
Coins fall from the top of the screen. The game assigns each spawned object to an arcade class:
| Game class | Source | Action and game effect |
|---|---|---|
| SCAM | A hardcoded SCAM template or, when available, a live market-listing template | Destroying it adds that template's points multiplied by the current combo |
| LEGIT | One of the hardcoded BTC, ETH, SOL, SiCi, or DOGE templates | Hitting it subtracts points and resets the combo |
The coin's display color is a template or randomly selected visual property; it is not a fixed risk classification. A live template's generated riskScore can appear in a side panel, but it is an illustrative game/report field—not a fraud probability, safety verdict, or claim that a real token is a scam. The SCAM and LEGIT classes are gameplay rules, not findings about the displayed name.
3.2 Coin Ticker Popup
When you destroy a SCAM-class coin, a large animated popup appears showing:
- The coin's emoji and ticker symbol (e.g.,
💀 $RUGPULL) — displayed in large white text - The points earned in gold below the ticker
This helps you practice responding to game cues; it does not establish a finding about the displayed token.
3.3 Points and display-only status
Points are an in-game score. A SCAM-class coin adds its template's pts value multiplied by the current combo: hardcoded templates currently use 100–150 points, while generated live templates use a randomized 100–159 point value. A LEGIT-class collision subtracts the template point value when present, or 150 points for the hardcoded LEGIT templates, and resets the combo. The score cannot fall below zero. Destroying an enemy ship adds (500 + level × 200) × combo.
At game over, the current script may display a score-derived estimate. This is unverified display and reporting output, not a payout or promise of tokens; the script does not transfer tokens or modify a reward balance. Wallet connection is optional for starting the game and results can be posted anonymously.
3.4 Miss System and Lives
You start each game with 7 lives (gold dots in the HUD).
A "miss" happens when a SCAM-class coin escapes past the bottom of the screen. The miss buffer absorbs 5 misses before you lose a life:
| Misses | Result |
|---|---|
| 1–4 | Warning shown — miss dots fill up in HUD |
| 5th miss | −1 Life — miss dots reset to 0 |
Five small red dots below the heart icons show your current miss count (e.g., 3/5). When all 7 lives are gone, the game ends. An enemy missile or gravity bomb hitting the player also removes one life immediately.
LEGIT-class coins that escape do not count as misses.
3.5 Combo System
Chain SCAM-class kills rapidly to multiply your points:
| Combo | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| ×1 | Normal (no combo) |
| ×2 | 2× points per kill |
| ×3–×7 | Escalating multiplier |
| ×8 | MAX COMBO — 8× points per kill |
The combo timer resets if you stop killing for ~3.5 seconds. A "COMBO ×N!" flash appears on screen when you reach ×3 or higher.
3.6 Shock Wave
Press SPACE to unleash a Shock Wave:
- Instantly destroys all SCAM-class coins within a 220-pixel radius around your character
- Deals damage to enemy spaceships caught in range
- Points scored for each SCAM-class coin hit (with your current combo multiplier)
- 5-second cooldown — a circular recharge arc in the HUD shows remaining time
- The HUD indicator goes green when the shock wave is fully recharged
Strategy tip: Save your Shock Wave for moments when several SCAM-class coins are nearby.
3.7 Coin Spawning
Coins continuously spawn from the top of the screen:
- Third-party listings: When available, a live SCAM template is built from current DexScreener search results.
- Selection context: The live search favors pairs no older than 14 days with listed liquidity below $80,000; this is a pool-selection rule, not a fraud finding.
- Fresh pool: The live coin pool refreshes on load, when a new level begins, and every two minutes while playing.
- Illustrative fallback: Hardcoded SCAM and LEGIT templates remain available when live data is unavailable; they are not verified token findings.
4. Enemy Spaceships
4.1 Overview
Enemy spaceships begin spawning after an initial warning delay and increase in number as you progress:
| Level | Ships Active |
|---|---|
| 1–2 | 2 ships simultaneously |
| 3+ | 3 ships simultaneously |
4.2 Entry Directions
Ships enter from 4 different directions with random speeds:
- From the left — sweeping right with diagonal drift
- From the right — sweeping left with diagonal drift
- From the top-left — angling downward toward center
- From the top-right — angling downward toward center
Ships rotate to face the direction they're traveling and patrol the upper 40% of the screen, bouncing off walls and boundaries.
4.3 Ship Attacks
Ships attack progressively based on your level:
| Level | Attacks |
|---|---|
| 1+ | Aimed missiles (targeted at your position) |
| 2+ | Spread shots (fire in multiple directions) |
| 1+ | Gravity bombs (orange orbs that arc down) |
| 4+ | Delayed burst attacks |
Fire rate increases with each level. Ships stagger their firing so they don't all shoot at the same moment.
4.4 Destroying Ships
Ships have a health bar displayed above them. Shoot ships with your laser to damage them. When destroyed:
- A large explosion erupts
- A game score bonus is added
- A short delay before the next ship spawns
5. Wave and Level System
5.1 Wave Structure
The game starts at level 1, wave 1. The first wave target is 12 destroyed SCAM-class coins; after a wave advances, the next target is 10 + wave × 2. The wave counter is shown in the HUD (e.g., "L1 W1").
- When you destroy enough SCAM-class coins in a wave, a wave banner appears and the next wave begins
- The level increases every three waves
- There is no seven-level victory condition in the current script; wave and level progression continues until the game ends
5.2 Levels
| Progression | Current behavior |
|---|---|
| Level 1 | Starts with wave 1; up to 2 enemy ships can be active |
| Every 3 waves | Level increases; coin and ship difficulty values increase |
| Level 3 and above | Up to 3 enemy ships can be active |
6. Scoring System
6.1 How Points Are Calculated
The current script does not multiply a risk score by 10 and does not award a liquidity bonus. It uses the template point value and the current combo:
- Destroying a SCAM-class hardcoded coin adds its template's 100–150
ptsvalue multiplied by the current combo. - Destroying a generated live SCAM template adds its randomized 100–159
ptsvalue multiplied by the current combo. - Hitting a LEGIT-class coin subtracts 150 points for the hardcoded LEGIT templates and resets the combo; the score is clamped at zero.
- Destroying an enemy ship adds
(500 + level × 200) × combo.
The riskScore and liquidity fields used by live/reporting data do not determine points. They are game/report fields and should not be read as real-token safety classifications.
6.2 Combo Multiplier
The combo starts at ×1, increases after SCAM-class kills up to ×8, and resets to ×1 after the combo timer expires or a LEGIT-class coin is hit. The timer is 210 frames (about 3.5 seconds at 60 frames per second).
6.3 Enemy Ship Bonus
| Action | Points |
|---|---|
| Destroy enemy ship (L1) | 700 |
| Destroy enemy ship (L3) | 1,100 |
| Destroy enemy ship (L5) | 1,500 |
6.4 Display-only estimate
At game over, the script may calculate a score-derived estimate. This is display/reporting logic only: it is not a verified reward or payout, and the current game script does not transfer tokens or modify a reward balance. A wallet is not required to start a game.
7. HUD (Heads-Up Display)
The HUD shows current game information:
| HUD Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Score | Current total score |
| Level • Wave | Current level and wave (e.g., "L1 W1") |
| Lives | 7 gold dots — each dot = 1 life |
| Miss Dots | 5 small red dots below lives — shows miss buffer progress (5 misses = 1 life) |
| Combo | Current combo multiplier (×1 to ×8) |
| Shock Wave Arc | Circular recharge indicator — green when ready, gray while recharging |
8. Side Panels
8.1 Left Panel — Ticker Only
Shows destroyed SCAM-class coins that had only a ticker symbol (no project name):
- Entries are grouped by whether a displayed project name was present
- A displayed percentage is an illustrative game/report field, not a verified danger level
- Updates automatically when you destroy such a coin
8.2 Right Panel — Named Coins
Shows destroyed SCAM-class coins with a proper project name:
- A name does not mean safe, and no-name does not prove unsafe
- Click any entry to research further on DexScreener
Panels open automatically when the first coin of each type is encountered.
9. Wallet and display-status context
9.1 Optional Wallet Connection
The menu can offer Phantom and Solflare connection. The current game script does not require a wallet to start a game: results can be posted with an anonymous player name and a null wallet address. Connecting a wallet includes the address in the game-results request; it does not turn an illustrative game label into a token finding or guarantee a payout or other external benefit.
9.2 Reviewing the optional estimate
- Review the final score and any display-only estimate shown by the game.
- Treat the estimate as unverified reporting output, not a payout or transfer.
- Verify any external claim independently.
10. Strategies
10.1 Beginner Tips
- Focus on SCAM-class coins for points; the class is an illustrative game rule
- Avoid LEGIT-class coins — a hit applies the in-game penalty and resets the combo
- Save your Shock Wave (SPACE) for when many coins cluster together
- Hold the mouse button for continuous fire instead of rapid clicking
- Watch the miss dot counter — if it reaches 4/5, prioritize SCAM-class coins
10.2 Combo Building
- Kill SCAM-class coins in rapid succession to build the multiplier
- At ×8 combo, every kill earns 8× points
- Shock Wave kills count toward combo — use it in dense SCAM-class clusters
- The combo timer is about 3.5 seconds — move to the next coin quickly
10.3 Enemy Ship Management
- Ships can enter after the initial warning — stay alert
- Focus on coins until ships fire at you, then dodge and return fire
- Shoot ships between coin kills — they don't interrupt your combo if you kill coins quickly
- Shock Wave damages ships in range — use it when both ships and coins are nearby
10.4 High Score Tips
- Chain rapid kills for maximum combo multiplier
- Use Shock Wave on dense SCAM-class clusters at a high combo
- Destroy enemy ships when practical; their bonus is based on the current level and combo
- Do not prioritize a displayed risk or liquidity field for points; those fields do not control scoring
11. Game Over Conditions
11.1 Losing All Lives
If all 7 lives are depleted:
- Game ends with "YOU GOT RUGGED!" message
- Final score, wave information, and any optional estimate are displayed
- Option to play again appears
11.2 No fixed victory level
There is no win state for completing seven levels. The game continues to advance waves and levels until the player loses all lives or otherwise reaches game over. The game-over overlay displays the final score and wave information.
12. Sound Effects
The game includes synthesized audio feedback:
- Laser fire: Rapid pulse when shooting
- Coin destroy: Explosion effect
- Combo: Escalating tone when combo activates
- Shock Wave: Thunderous bass shockwave sound
- Enemy ship destroyed: Large explosion
- Level up: Victory fanfare
- Game over: End game tone
Toggle sound with the M key.
13. Screen Recording
13.1 Recording Your Gameplay
Capture your gameplay as a video file:
- Find the Record Button: Located in the top-right corner of the game header
- Click "🎥 Record": A red button with a video camera icon
- Select Screen Share: Your browser shows a screen sharing dialog
- Choose "Browser Tab": Select the current tab to record
- Enable Audio (Optional): Check "Share tab audio" to capture game sounds
- Click Share: Recording begins immediately
13.2 Recording Tips
| Tip | Description |
|---|---|
| Full Screen | Record in fullscreen for best quality |
| Enable Audio | Check "Share tab audio" in the dialog for game sounds |
| Good Performance | Close other tabs for smoother recording |
| Video Format | Files save as WebM (plays in most browsers and VLC) |
14. Reported Token-Risk Registry Integration
14.1 Game-Report Integration
When a live SCAM template is destroyed during a normal session, the current script can post a game report containing its displayed name or symbol, listing liquidity, pair, chain, and game-derived symptoms. The game-results request also records the session score, wave, outcome, and destroyed entries. These are game/report records, not verified findings, and the code does not use a score threshold as a fraud cutoff.
14.2 Manual Reporting
You can also report a token-risk observation outside the game through the current /rug-pulls registry flow. Include the contract address or ticker, chain, observation, and supporting evidence where available.
Follow the current registry flow and include evidence where available. Recording a report does not verify the claim or create a payout.
15. Troubleshooting
Game not loading?
- Refresh the page
- Check internet connection
